Open Spot is a new Google Labs application for Android phones. The application is a Google Maps crowd-sharing application to help drivers find parking spots.
The idea is that drivers who are leaving parking spots can use Open Spot to share their parking space with people who are searching for parking. The application uses a gaming element to encourage users to share free parking spots. The more open spots you mark, the more parking 'karma points' you'll get.
Open Spot requires Android 2.0 or higher and is currently only available in the US, Canada, and the Netherlands.
